Pottery for Beginners

BTEI means Back to Education Initiative. BTEI gives those in receipt of social welfare the opportunity of returning to part time education, while retaining their benefits.
For those not in receipt of a social welfare payment there will be a course charge of €150.

          Pottery for Beginners (In Art & Design PLC dept)

 

This is a one year course for anyone who wants to explore pottery for the first time. All levels are welcome from beginner to intermediate. We will explore clay techniques including throwing, coil building, slab building and sculpting. Painting and Drawing modules will be centered around your ceramics work and they will complement each other. All are welcome for this really fun course.

Entry Requirements

All BTEI applicants must be in receipt of or a dependent of a Social Protection payment before starting the course. Participants on CE schemes or TUS may apply also.

Mature students are also welcome.

Duration

One year. 2-3 days in a fully equipped studio. (Mon, Tue, Wed)
