Jewellery Design & Making for Beginners

Are you interested in creating your own unique jewellery pieces? Whether you are looking for a new hobby, a creative outlet, or want to develop practical design skills, our Jewellery Design and Making Course offers the perfect opportunity to learn in a friendly and supportive environment.
Starting Monday 16th November, this exciting part-time course runs until the end of the academic year and provides hands-on experience in jewellery design, metalwork, and creative material exploration. Students will have access to our fully equipped jewellery workshop, professional tools, specialist equipment, and dedicated studio facilities.
No previous experience is necessary. Beginners and hobby learners are welcome.
What You Will Learn
Students will complete two QQI Level 5 modules:
Art Metalcraft (5N1649)
- Learn traditional and contemporary jewellery-making techniques
- Develop skills in cutting, shaping, soldering, finishing, and designing metal jewellery
- Create a range of unique handcrafted pieces
Combined Materials (5N0764)
- Explore creative ways of combining metal with a variety of materials
- Experiment with texture, colour, and mixed-media approaches
- Develop your own personal design style

Monday
- 9. am – 11 pm Art Metalcraft
- 11.00am – 1 pm Combined Materials
Wednesday
- 9am—1 pm: Art Metalcraft Workshop

Course Fee
€150 for students not in receipt of Social Welfare payments.
Most materials needed are covered in the cost however this would not cover any precious materials such as silver and gold.
